Mom killed by poachers
In 2015, Rockwood experienced its first rhino poaching incident. One of our beautiful rhino cows was gunned down by poachers, and her calf shot in the head. Sadly, the mother passed. But the male calf was treated and cared for by Rockwood’s staff and survived, earning his name Survivor. Today, Survivor, who still has that bullet lodged in his skull, is a magnificent young bull nearly ready to start his own family.
Donating will take you less than 3 minutes and, thanks to your monthly support, Survivor will keep receiving the care and protection he needs.
